Inside, you’ll find a bright living room with an open kitchen and French doors to a sunny south-facing terrace overlooking the clearing, where Angus cattle often wander by. Each house features four bedrooms (one on the ground floor with an en-suite), three bathrooms—including one with a bathtub—and multiple toilets. Extras include a play/sensory loft, smart TV, JBL sound system, washing machine and dryer, made-up beds on arrival, a shed with e-bike charging, private parking, and an EV charging point. Outside, the large play lawn offers a trampoline and football goals; one pet per house is welcome.
De Rovershut is intentionally accessible and sustainable. Wider doors and hallways, a spacious ground-floor toilet, and the adjacent bedroom/bathroom make it comfortable for guests using mobility aids. On request, care equipment (such as a height-adjustable bed, patient lift, or shower stool) can be arranged in advance, so your holiday starts stress-free. The building was designed in harmony with the forest; it’s well-insulated, powered in part by solar energy, and built with materials chosen for reusability. Social impact matters here too, with collaborations that support inclusive work and training. In short: a warm, comfortable, and responsible family home for 8 to 16 guests—your gateway to the very best of Texel.
