This brasserie in De Koog has a hidden backyard terrace and no less than 49 cocktails on the menu!

What we love about the menu is the freedom of choice. Want to go for a classic starter-main-dessert combo? You can. And how. The slow-cooked Texel lamb shoulder with honey and thyme is a keeper if you ask us – as is the teriyaki salmon fillet or the Texel beef steak with cafĂ© de Paris cream sauce. Prefer vegetarian? The vegetable lasagna with pesto and mozzarella or the vegan flammkuchen fungi are surprisingly flavourful. But let’s be honest: most of the time we go for the bites. Small dishes to share (or just keep for yourself) that quickly fill your table with tasty treats. Think crispy gyoza, crunchy shrimp with chili mayo, steak tartare with grated salted egg yolk, thinly sliced and lightly seared scallops… And of course, a few oysters – just because you can. Check out the menu here! And then the drinks menu. It’s generously stocked with no less than 49 cocktails, gin tonics and mocktails – including a few made with TX Gin. Cocktails and gin tonics are €10 each, mocktails are €8. Visiting with a group? Then the one-litre TX Pitcher is a real treat. The wine list is also worth a look. It’s extensive, with a fine selection of wines from France, Spain and Italy. Whether you prefer fresh whites or bold reds – there’s always something that fits. And finally: the backyard terrace. A little hidden, which is exactly what makes it so special. In summer – when the weather’s good – it opens up and offers a cosy, sheltered spot in a quiet courtyard. No crowds, just relaxed vibes with a table full of bites, a cocktail or a good glass of wine. Brasserie Quinty’s is a go-to for us in De Koog. The vibe, the menu and that lovely terrace make it a place we keep coming back to – and one we’re always happy to share with others, who leave just as excited as we do.
